Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryED TOEWS November 1, 1940 - August 28, 2012 On August 28, 2012, we lost a very special person. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A friend to all who knew him, Eddie passed away early in the morning at the Maple Hill Hospice in Langley, B.C. Eddie was predeceased by his father Peter, his mother Agnes and two brothers, Henry and Jake. He is survived by his loving wife Gerri; they celebrated their 50th anniversary May 12 of this year. He is also survived by his children, Steve (Sonia) and children Ken and Nadia, Kelly and Jarrod, Kyle and MaryJane (and their mother Susie); Bob (Ellen) and their children Tyler and Christopher, and Michelle (Scott); two great-grandchildren Everett and Elianna; his sister Eva Kehler and her family. He will also be remembered by his friends at Andy Camp in Kenora and by the Derouard family. We will forever feel his presence at the cottage that he so lovingly built ... rest in peace Eddie, we love you and will miss you terribly. There will be a Memorial service to celebrate his life on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive in Steinbach, MB. Ed was a very cheerful and compassionate man, he was always full of life and always welcomed me with open arms. I remember a time when we were ice fishing and he was the happiest man there because he never really got to do anything like that. I could also tell that Ed was a man of God.
