Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHEMINA (WILMA) JONINA NIELSON (ARKSEY) July 13, 1924 - August 26, 2012 On August 26, 2012, Wilma (Nana) passed on to a better place with her husband Bill and her children, Linda and Eldon, by her side. To cherish her memory Willie leaves her husband Bill, of 66 years, her daughter Linda (Hermann) Wagner, her son Eldon (Connie) Neilson, her grandchildren Lindsay (Michael), Krystle (Justin), Riley, Chelsea, and her great-grandson Braxton. Survived by her brother Byron, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Sigridur (Sarah Isfeld) Arksey, brothers Norman, Vernauld, Allan (Mildred), Encil (Helen), Billy (Mary), and sister-in-law Margaret. Wilma was born at her parent's farm near Langruth. She remained at home until marrying Bill Nielson after the war. Later, she and Bill, a grain buyer, made their homes at Dropmore, Swan Lake, Cypress River and Carman. Nana had a passion for family life and her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her newest pride - her great-grandson. Whether the occasion was Christmas, Easter, a celebration of birthday or anniversary or simply spending time at one of the cottages, Nana was front and center in it all. She was a tireless worker. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, camping, knitting, curling, cooking and baking. Her wonderful spirit and sheer joy of living enriched the lives of family, friends, co-workers, day care children, Legion and care-workers. You could always count on a cup of coffee and a fresh baked goodie when you stopped in to see Nana and Papa. She entertained with her stories of long ago, making people laugh and brightening their day. We will truly miss her service of love and life. Our family is forever grateful to the staff at the Carman District Hospital and Boyne Lodge for their constant care and compassion. Thank you to the Anglican/Lutheran Church and everyone for your expression of condolence. Cremation has taken place and Wilma's ashes will be laid to rest with Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg. It is the family's wishes to hold a private family service at Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman. Donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB R0G 0J0 or flowers may be sent to Doyle's Funeral Chapel. Nana - we will keep you in our hearts and know you are in a better place to watch over us. Each of us hold a memory of you that only you could give us. We love you.....xoxoxo till we see you again! MAY HER MEMORY BE ETERNAL O LORD
