Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY KOLENCH September 26, 1951 - September 1, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved Wife, Mom and Baba on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Shirley left to mourn her husband of 40 years, Eugene Kolench, son Dean (Kelsey), her two beautiful grandchildren Jacob and Lillyann, family and friends, nieces and nephews. She will be survived by her brother Vern (Connie) and sister Elsie (Lorne). She was predeceased by her father Metro Sokaliuk and mother Lillian Sokaliuk (nee Welgush). Shirley was born in Canora, Saskatchewan and moved to Winnipeg when she was 16. She met Eugene in 1970 and they were married two years later. In 1974 her son Dean was born. Shirley was a loving mother and her family always came first. Shirley's working career was spent primarily in an office environment. No one could out type her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to the Casino and relaxing at the trailer at Spruce Sands. She loved to write poetry. If anyone ever got a card from her, there would always be something extra written in it with the perfect penmanship. The family would like to thank Dr. Nicola Matthews and all of the staff on the sixth floor east at the St. Boniface Hospital. We appreciate all the care you provided for her. A Memorial Service will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Saturday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT (Memory Eternal) 204-586-8044
