SAMANTHA JO DE-VEHR SCHLICHTING On Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Samantha Schlichting, of Lorette, aged 21 years, beloved partner of Landon Hay, and loving mother of Wyatt and Cheyenne. Samantha is survived by children Wyatt and Cheyenne, husband Landon, brother and sisters Bruce (Rebecca), Amy and Elizabeth; mother and father Margaret and Ernest; grandparents George and Elizabeth De-Vehr, Henry and Nellie Schlichting; as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins. Samantha was born on October 4, 1990 in the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. She attended Sanford Collegiate. Her foundation was her family and her coveted children. She loved being a mother, her family was what she lived for. She cherished dinner dates with her husband, camping with the family, loved taking the kids to the park, strollering around town and tried to make time for horseback riding. She brightened the home with her creativity and took great pleasure in doing crafts with the children. She always made a home feel like home. Samantha always put others needs before her own. She was a loyal friend, devote mother and wife, and her presence permeated the room with happiness and laughter. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Friends Community Church in Carman with Pastor Bob Pauls officiating. Interment will be held in the Springstein Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Wyatt and Cheyenne in care of Starbuck Credit Union, Box 117, 16 Main Street, Starbuck, MB, R0G 2P0. • I wish to send my sincere sympathy to the family of Samantha. I did not know her, but remember her father well as a student at Sanford Collegiate. The Schlichting families always had such incredibly loving children, and I am sure Samatha will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her spouse and children, as well as her siblings and the rest of the many family members. Mrs. Bestland - Posted by: Beverley Bestland () on: Sep 14, 2012

  • Everyday after work I would come home to see Sam Wyatt and Cheyenne outside. So I would go inside My house to get my son Landyn so they could play. Sam, Landon, Sammie and myself all had great talks and we all enjoyed Sams company. I'm sad our time was short and was looking forward to keeping a long good friendship with both neighbours. And Sam, me and Sammie will keep our promise and we will have a girl for Cheyenne to have a little girl friend to play with :) We all miss you - Posted by: Devon the neighbour () on: Sep 14, 2012
