MENNO ISAAC GIESBRECHT September 18, 1937 - September 11, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Menno Giesbrecht of Winnipeg, formerly of Rosenort, MB on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Grace Hospital. Menno passed away of complications from pneumonia, having battled sickness, including Guillain-Barré Syndrome and bladder cancer, since 2007. He will be sorely missed by his wife Justina, children Bonnie, Julie, Wayne, David, Dennis (Joan) and grandchildren Chelsea and Matthew. He was predeceased by one daughter in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and support. The funeral service for Menno Giesbrecht will take place on Saturday, September 15 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. A viewing will take place prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the GBS Foundation (http://www.gbs-cidp.org/home/donate/) or Canadian Cancer Society.
