MARIA DOROSZUK Surrounded by her family at her home in Winnipeg, Maria Doroszuk passed away on the morning of Thursday September 13, 2012, at the age of 65. Born in Wroclaw, Poland, Maria was the wife of 39 years to Janek, mother to Ernest and Paulina, and sister to Zbyszek, Teresa, Edek and Ania. Her commitment to her family, physical and outdoor activities will be celebrated by those she leaves behind. Throughout her illness, her positive spirit and infectious smile remained unwavering and gave strength to all those that knew her. Prayers will be held on Monday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Viewing taking place one hour prior. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church; 341 Selkirk Ave. with interment following in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Next to Maria's great love for her husband and children was her love of animals. To watch her interact with Benny, Hammer, Mischief and Snuggles was to witness true compassion and unconditional love first hand and that was Maria. Every time I think of Maria I see her walking around Ernest's house tidying the rooms, keeping his plants alive and making the most delicious food for us. Everyone close to Ernest, upon meeting his mom, would immediately connect with her. Maria radiated positivity and motherly warmth towards all his friends.
