Just came upon this today (2014). So sorry Eve, always wanted to see you all again, but became a trucker and never able to do it. Murray was the greatest and always will be in my memories. He told me that he named your son Brian after me, what a great honor. Please take care and God be with you and your family. My grandpa Murray stalker was a honest wonderful man. My middle name Leigh came after his, I forever miss him. He was the kind of man who would say "you look beautiful today darling" even though you were just on the phone with him. This is a bit late of a comment, but these past few days I just really miss him. I'll miss you always grandpa and I hope you're watching me proudly. I love you. RIP. - Posted by: Makenna stalker (Grandpa) on: Aug 07, 2013

Well, I am sorry to see Murray go. I had a chance to talk to Murray on the phone a few months ago to reminisce and to thank him. Working for and with Murray at Stalker's Shell and the Hickory House Restaurant provided me with some of the building bricks that formed who I am today. Leave it to say that Murray hired me at the garage, when I was laid off from the CPR got me on with the Hickory House and then gave me a reference for the Police Department. I am forever grateful for his friendship and guidance. My sincere condolences to Evelyn and the kids. Frank May and family. - Posted by: Frank May (Freind and Employee) on: Sep 19, 2012

These days, whenever I am reminiscing with my friends, many of the stories told revolve around the 3 years I spent at " Stalker's Shell " at Thompson Drive and Portage Ave pumping gas, fixing customer's and our own cars, and operating that big tow truck. It was a great time to be a young adult (19 - 21) and it generated a lot of memories. Murray and Ev were so flexible and put so much trust in guys like myself and Doug Titterton. They tolerated all of our antics and those of our friends like Mel Morgan, Ron Phelps and Wayne Biegler just to name a few. Those were good times. My sincere condolences to Ev and the Stalker family. Murray was a great guy to all and will be remembered. R.I.P. Murray. Gary Frost Calgary - Posted by: Gary Frost () on: Sep 16, 2012
