Sorry I could not make it to the service. I did not want to make everyone else sick as I have Step throat. My thoughts are with you all. So sorry for your loss. Uncle Fern always greeted people in such a friendly way. He always made me feel welcome and I will miss his laugh! He loved his family very, very much and filled his life with kindness, humour, joy and laughter. He a wonderful man! Love you Uncle Fern! He will always be watching over you and by your side when you need him in spirit. Take comfort that he is no longer in any pain and is now at peace. Uncle Fern's funeral was beautiful. I was so touched by Rene's words honouring the love his parents had for each other, I shared the story with a circle of my community this evening--that all we really need is each other. My sympathies to Auntie Doris and family. Much love to you. - Posted by: Nona Pelletier (great-niece) on: Sep 21, 2012

Tante Doris et la famille. My deepest sympathy. Once you met him, you never forget him! Mes pensées sont avec vous. xxx - Posted by: Dominique Mongeon et famille ((petite-nièce, fille de Corinne Mongeon, née St-Arnaud)) on: Sep 21, 2012

We are sorry to hear the news of uncle Fern's passing. It makes us sad to know that we will never hear his laugh again other than what plays over and over in our memories. I was hoping to make it to be with you all Friday but it just did not work out. We will be thinking of you all. Please just remember the good times and not the last months when uncle was so sick and in so much pain. I am sure that my Dad "Lou" his brother was very glad to see a familiar face in heaven.
