• My parents were close friends with Jerry and Millie Russell. After my father passed away, Mr. and Mrs. Russell would still take her for a lovely dinner every Christmas. • My mother, Helen Chadwick, my brother Steve and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to my Aunt Millie's family. She was a wonderful woman, full of life and good cheer and we will always remember her and our Uncle Jerry. My mother found great comfort chatting with Aunt Millie over the phone, particularly since the passing of their husbands. She was a bright, funny and positive woman who, to us, was always witty, funny and had a twinkle in her eye. We very much appreciated for her support when her brother, our father Ron, passed away in January 2001. She and Uncle Jerry were there to say goodbye. My brothers and I, particularly Gregg, often talked about fond memories of Aunt Millie and Uncle Jerry when we lived next door in Fort Garry. We have also always wondered how life would have evolved for us if we had been able to maintain that close family contact that Aunt Millie embodied.
