Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY CECILE CHARLES (PRZEDNOWEK) When the night is cloudy There is a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, Let it be. Emily Charles, aged 84, left us on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, with her family at her side. She leaves behind her loving husband Ken, her three children; Dianne, Bill (Debbie), Calvin (Tammy); grandchildren Wes (Sarah), Carey (Jill), Jared, Colin (Mel), Colton, Austin; and great-grandchildren Emily, Madison, Cole and Samantha. She also leaves behind her brother Al (Kamilia), her sisters Helen, Violet (Art), Mary (Hardy), brother-in-law Art and sister-in-law Ethel. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Tilley, sister Frances, brothers Carl and Mike; son-in-law Ken, brother-in-law Henry, father-in-law Sherman, mother-in-law Pearl, sisters-in-law Isabel and Ruby. Emily was born August 11, 1928, in Cooks Creek, MB. The family later moved to Vivian where she lived on the family farm until marrying Ken in April 1950. Ken and Emily resided on the Millbrook farm where they raised their children and enjoyed many years of family and friends. Mom devoted her life to raising her family, gardening, and being secretary for the family business. We will remember Mom for her wonderful meals especially her cabbage rolls, dill pickles and perogies. Tradition was important to Mom and she lovingly prepared each and every meal for all family occasions. It was important to Mom for the family to be together and she did not want to miss any celebrations. Mom enjoyed a good game of crib and spent many hours playing and winning! Mom loved The Beatles and her country music and was quite talented at playing the harmonica. When Mom's mobility declined she still managed to get around, arriving in style on the Harley golf cart. Mom and Dad frequently made deliveries of their garden harvest to their children on the Millbrook sunset strip'. We would to like to thank everyone who has been a part of Mom's life and to all the wonderful care she received from NEHA Home Care, Dr. Shenouda, and the many hospitals that Mom had to frequent over the years. There will be a private family celebration of Mom's life. In lieu of flowers, friends may honour a wonderful lady with a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, phone 204-949-2000. Arrangements in care of Seasons Funeral Chapel, Oakbank, MB.
