PHYLLIS SCOTT It's with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, nan, great-nan, aunt and friend, on Friday, September 21, 2012. Phyllis leaves to mourn her son Shane (Sharon) Scott, grandchildren Jamie Scott, Cory Scott (Jayn, Ayden, Austyn Scott) and Terri Abas (Tyler and Aliyah Abas), niece Dianne Buttar (Robert Buttar), very special friend, sister at heart Lynne Hesse, her husband Garth Hesse and aunt Joan Robertson from Quebec, and many other relatives on the Scott side. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary (Molly) Furey, her sister Carol Harrison, and her lifelong love Kenneth Scott. Mom started her life in Toronto, Ontario on September 4, 1932, where she met the love of her life working at Birks Jewellers. They were wed on June 30, 1951. In her early days she loved dancing especially with Ken, to garden, quilt and watch her grandchildren grow and later have three amazing great-grandchildren, who she also loved dearly. The family wishes to thank close friends, the ambulance attendants, nurse Jan from Stonewall Hospital, and the E.R. staff at St. Boniface Hospital. A service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall.
