On Facebook I read a message Andy Beaton sent announcing the death of His "Nana Rosie". I'm so sorry Tom for the loss of your Mother, who was most unique human beings I have ever encountered. The first time I met her she was after driving herself in her truck from Manitoba to Ontario and she sure was no "spring chicken" then. Her zest for life to make an effort will probably be her lasting legacy. Sleep sweetly Ms.Rosie, until the great and wonderful day and the peace of God be with you Tom. Take care! Dick says, so sorry for the loss of your Mom, she had a good long life! - Posted by: Suzanne and Dick Kilfoy, Marystown NL (Sister in Law/Brother in Law to Tom Rogers) on: Sep 26, 2012

Tom, your mother was one of a kind. She had a way with people and took the time to know them. She was a friend to all us students at the Dugald school. - Posted by: Harvey Creek (old classmate of Tom's) on: Sep 25, 2012

I will remember Rosie coming to the community club to teach the Brownies to do crafts- she would come loaded with boxes of yarn, beads, glue and glitter. She was like a little "elf" herself and I know she will be fondly remembered by anyone that knew her. - Posted by: Liz Cullingham (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2012

I had the privilege of meeting Rosey when I was postmaster in Dugald. She never missed a day coming in to collect all her packages. She enjoyed looking at all the coins and other postal items Canada Post had for sale. We had many lunches together over at the Chicken Chef. Rosey was one special lady. Always giving to others. I will miss her great smile and her cheerful laugh. Tom you had one special mother. - Posted by: VIOLET CRUMB (FRIEND) on: Sep 25, 2012

Rosey was a beautiful lady that even through very hard times she had a beautiful smile. Rosey would always say how's it going kido. Rosey loved kids and always gave a hug when they needed it. She would always memtion her son Tom and how he was doing at his store in Ontario. She loved him with the love only she could give and her eyes shone brightly with the mention of his name. We spent many hours through our years talking and her giving me advice that was always valuable. I will miss her greatly as she was like a mom even to me and a grandmother to my kids that she adopted thru the years. I will miss the phone calls we shared. May she smile on the other side and enjoy the reunion with her family. She will always be remembered by the ones she left behind. Love you Rosey - Posted by: Rachel Mustard (friend) on: Sep 25, 2012
