Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARREN WEDGE (nee RICHARDSON) January 28, 1963 September 22, 2012 On Saturday, September 22, 2012 Carren Wedge (nee Richardson) passed away at Grace Hospital ICU with family at her side. Carren was predeceased by her father Don Richardson, brother Allan Richardson, father-in-law Les Wedge, brother-in-law Lyn Scott and niece Melanie Wedge. Carren's passing is especially mourned by her loving husband Terry, son Darren (Brianne), mother Betty Richardson, sister Debbie Richardson and brother Peter Macalaney. She was very close to her mother-in-law Iris Wedge, brother-in-law Les Jr, and sisters-in-law Linda Scott and Darlene Wedge. Jean and Kevin (Lacey) Scott will miss their Auntie Carren. Carren was born in Winnipeg on January 28, 1963 and lived with her parents and siblings in Charleswood. Her passion was animals especially horses. She started out riding and showing horses at a young age and then began galloping horses for her father first at their farm and then at Assiniboia Downs. Carren met Terry Wedge at Assiniboia Downs and they were married on August 27, 1981. They moved to the Wedge family farm in Gordon and on July 27, 1982 were overjoyed when their son Darren was born. For the last several years Carren and Terry have driven trucks in the winter and worked at the race track in the summer. The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital Emergency and ICU. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall. I still can't wrap my head around the passing of my dear friend Carren. She was as good hearted as people come and did so much for so many without ever expecting anything in return. I loved her quick witted come backs that always made us have a good laugh.
