MARY JANE HOLDEN (HOUSTON) 1921 - 2012 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Holden on September 25, 2012 at the age of 91. Mary was born in 1921 in St. James, Manitoba. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Doug; daughters Beverley Eert (Will) and Judy Edwards (Gary); grandchildren Jennifer (Brian), Patrick, and Megan; and great-grandchildren Christopher and Samuel. Mary grew up on the prairies with her six siblings and is survived by her brother John. Mary attended Brooklands School, St. Edwards School, St. Ignatius School, and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. Mary worked at Eatons and the City of Winnipeg Health Department during her career and made many lifelong friends in the process. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her family. Thanks for all those camping trips you and Dad took us on! Mary loved animals especially her dog Nipper and cat Susie. Mary spent her last year at Westpark Manor where she was lovingly cared for by the staff. Thank you from our family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund at 303-83 Garry St., R3C 4J9.
