RUTH WRAY (nee HEUCHERT) It is with broken hearts and a tremendous feeling of loss that the family of Ruth Wray announces her passing at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, September 24, 2012, at the age of 75. Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Les Wray, children Karen Wray, Kevin Wray, Sandy Wray, and Maureen Valverde (Vancouver), granddaughter Lindsay Wray, brother Rick Heuchert (Linda), nieces and nephews Denine (Dave) and her children, Richard (Cheryl ) and their children, Garett (Natasha), and Leanne (Greg), extended family, many special friends, and her cat Boots. She was predeceased by her father Adolf and mother Anna Heuchert, her aunt Elizabeth Klein, her uncle August Klein, her cousin George Klein, her mother-in-law Emily Wray and her father-in-law Leslie Wray. Ruth was born on November 19, 1936, in Winnipeg and attended high school at Isaac Newton. She married Les on June 29, 1957. She spent her working years in the banking industry, retiring from Scotiabank in 1999, after 31 years of working at the Windsor Park branch. Ruth loved to travel which included trips to Hawaii, Europe, Jamaica, and all over Canada and the US. She was an avid animal lover and was always caring for the neighbourhood stray cats. Family was Ruth's highest priority, always putting the needs of her family before her own. She raised her four children with patience and understanding. It was important to her for the family to be together and she did not want to miss any celebrations. She was our rock and inspiration and made a deep imprint on our lives. The family would like to thank the staff on E5 at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support. A special thanks to Pam for treating Ruth with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect she deserved. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Everyone who met Ruth was touched by her gracious soul and loving heart. Wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, friend - we will miss you, but will carry on with your love forever in our hearts. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
