Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION AMBER JENKEN 1974 - 2012 Amber Jenken, beloved mother of Genna Houston and Jesse Jenken; life partner of Allan Ollivier and mother figure to Allan's daughter, Hailey, succumbed to her life-long mental health issues on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the age of 38 years. Throughout Amber's illness, her focus was always on her children. Her compassionate nature provided her with the false assurance that she was protecting her family by bearing the burdens of her struggles in silence. Along with Genna, Jesse, Allan and Hailey, Amber's memory will live on in the hearts of her parents, Marjorie Morden and Bob (Kathie) Houston; sister, Barri-Ann (Brad) Hayward and their children Cassidy and Bauer; brothers, Craig and Graham Houston; her aunt Gloria (Kingsley) Fenske; Genna and Jesse's father, Chris Jenken, as well as numerous other extended family and close friends. A Celebration of Amber's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Friday, October 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with interment and reception to follow. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Amber may be made directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 930 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0P8. Genna and Jesse, We are so saddened by the loss of your Mom. We remember all the good times we had with you two and her on many special occasions, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and birthdays.
