AURORA FRANCISCO (nee PROTACIO) It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Aurora (nee Protacio) Francisco. She passed away peacefully September 28, 2012 at the age of 83. She will be remembered always as the beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Martin Francisco, with over 65 years of blessed marriage. Her children Linda (Nardo), Bert (Candy), Martin (Carmen), Emmy (Dominador), Eloida, and Sylvia Gigie (Cesar) will never forget the love and commitment she so graciously bestowed upon them. She is also survived by brother Tony (Lita) of the Philippines and many in-laws, nieces and nephews around the globe. Aurora was a dedicated grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. They were her source of pride and joy. Aurora was born January 1, 1929 in the Philippines and later immigrated to Canada with her family in 1979. After retiring from her work as a garment inspector, Aurora took pleasure in caring for her two youngest grandchildren. She will also be fondly missed by numerous kind and caring friends. The family wishes to thank the E6 Staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their care, support and compassion for Aurora and family. Friends may pay respects at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens (Main Street) on Sunday, October 7, 2012, Lamay from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish (250 Burrin Avenue) at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Philippines.
