BERNICE ELLEN MONK (nee JUER) April 18, 1960 - October 02, 2012 Just as she was thinking it was time to get up and start farming with the two most important loves of her life, Garth and Trent, we were suddenly forced to say good-bye to our loving wife and very special mother in her home which she loved so much. Bernice is survived by her husband Garth; her son Trent; her mother Eleanor Juer; her sisters Karen Juer (Ron), Phyllis Falk (Gerald), Sandra Juer (Bruce) and Valerie Juer (Laurie); she is also survived by her aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews, and Garth's family. Bernice is predeceased by her father Ralph Juer; her grandparents Maude and Algie Bruce and Percy and Mary Scott. Bernice was a country Camper Girl through and through. That never did change; she grew up in Camper and completed her schooling at Ashern Central School. She had a huge love for the Equine species. On the same day she was born, though a few years later in 1981, Bernice married Garth Monk, her soul mate and the very love of her life. Garth worshipped Bernice and they did everything together. Bernice was left-handed, that was a real asset for both of them because, whatever Garth would be doing with his right hand, Bernice would be doing with her left hand. They were inseparable. To make their life complete, they were ecstatic when Trent was born on September 10, 1992. Now they were a threesome - a son who might some day want to be a farmer how wonderful. Bernice was always very proud of Trent and made sure he had every opportunity to do what his heart desired. She loved to go to Trent's hockey games and was even more delighted when he was becoming a big name in arm wrestling. Bernice loved her horses. She was very content to work with her horses, buying them, training them, showing them and was a way to relieve any stress. Whenever you visited with Bernice, she made sure that you had to go see her horses before you left. She made some spectacular choices in the horses she owned. In keeping with Bernice's wishes, a private family service will be held at the Dog Lake Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of her Life at the Camper Hall on Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all who wish to attend. • Garth & Trent, my heart goes out to you and all your families. I still have your wedding picture and it doen't seem that long ago that you two were married! Trent, we watched you arm wrestle at Moosehorn in August - those muscular arms will be a great help to your dad as you two carry on farming! I will be praying for peace & acceptance for you both.
