EDWARD MCCURDY Edward left us suddenly at the age of 69 on October 4, 2012, with family at his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joanne, his children Dave (Sherri), Laurie (Kelvin) Mitchler and Charlotte and their mother Margaret, step-children, Robin (Joe) Craig, Tamara (Bob) Medwid and Cameron, and his grandchildren, Tabitha, Mike, Nathan, Sarah and Emily. Edward was predeceased by both parents. Also left to mourn him are Edward's siblings Rudi (Karen), Heidy, Dorothy, Al, Jim (Fran), Bruce and Diane (Gordon). Edward was a printer by trade, having built up a successful business, Elite Printing, over the past 38 years. He loved animals and travelling, had an incredible green thumb and enjoyed discussing finance and politics. He derived tremendous satisfaction from his work and was a very soft-spoken, dignified, respectful man who loved his family deeply. A memorial service to honour and celebrate Edward's life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, with interment to follow. Thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has been arranged. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Edward's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
