LESLIE ANN HARLOCK (nee FERGUSON) After a long battle with breast cancer Leslie died peacefully on October 4, 2012, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Leslie is survived by her loving husband Rick, daughters Julie (Craig), Erin (Darin), her granddaughter Alexis, loving mother Audrey Thompson, father Dalton (June), brother Dean, Stepsisters Sherri, Kathy (Don), sister-in-law Marlene (David), nieces June and Savannah. Leslie was a happy, loving person. She loved to curl and was involved in Ashdown curling league. She was very creative, spending time in her garden and painting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter Alexis. The family would like to thank the teams on the 6th and 8th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital, the gardening girls and all her wonderful close friends that came to visit her in the hospital for those long three months. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to CancerCare Manitoba. A celebration of Leslie's life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Chapel, 4000 Portage Avenue. I met Leslie while helping with her daughter Erin's softball team out of Clifton Community Club. Leslie and her husband were very supportive of Erin and all the other girls on the team. Many of these girls have kept in contact over the years. My condolences and also those of my daughter Kristin are being sent today to all family. - Posted by: Heather Wenzel (Friend) on: Oct 12, 2012

Our family sends their sincerest sympathies to you all. Remember your wife, mom and grandmother as someone who always had the biggest smile upon her face. Leslie's presence in life was huge. She had a real zest for life and you knew when Leslie was in the room, it was joyful and full of laughter. She will be sadly missed, but your hearts will always hold her dear! - Posted by: Sue Rehberg-Reid & Family (Friend) on: Oct 11, 2012

So sorry for your loss. We became friends years ago when Julie and Erin were little. We shared our side yard together for 5 years and enjoyed having the family as good friends. Leslie was a very friendly and outgoing person and we enjoyed our friendship. Our deepest sympathies to Rick and the entire family. - Posted by: Ray & Patti Shodine () on: Oct 11, 2012

I am so sorry to hear about Leslie. We lost touch a few years ago. I worked with Audrey at TD Bank. May God give you the strength to carry on without Leslie. She is in a better place with no Suffering. Rest In Peace - Posted by: Maria Almeida (Friend) on: Oct 10, 2012

We knew Leslie for only a few years, and most of those Leslie was fighting cancer, but we admired her matter of fact way of dealing with her illness and her always very positive attitude. And as the other grandmother, I will miss the pride we shared watching our granddaughter, Alexis, become a great little swimmer. - Posted by: Mary & Glen Lang () on: Oct 10, 2012

Was saddened to get Rick's phone call last night. I had just talked to Leslie some 2-3 weeks earlier and she sounded great. Will not be the same at the curling club Sunday mornings; even if you were having a bad day talking to Les somehow perked you up. Our sympathy goes out to Rick and the entire Harlock family. So sorry for your loss. Leslie was such a fun and caring person. We didn't see her as often as we should have, but when we did it was like we talked daily. We have some great happy memories and will hold them dear. Our condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Susan & Rick Gill () on: Oct 09, 2012

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Leslie. She was such a positive and fun loving person and it was a pleasure knowing her over the last 16 years. I know that everyone at the Ashdowns Curling League will miss her bubbly personality on Sunday Mornings. My deepest sympathies to Rick and the entire family. - Posted by: mel campbell () on: Oct 09, 2012
