  • My mother and I, who knew both Becky and Anne, were deeply shocked and saddened to learn of her passing yesterday in an email from the MBSA's executive director. I didn't get to know Anne too well, but I remember meeting her at the pool when she'd bring Becky and Genevieve to the MBSA's Saturday morning swim program. Anne was so proud to be a mother and grandmother, and Becky was so proud to be a mother and daughter. I remember one time going into a restaurant with my mom and finding Genevieve, Becky and Anne eating there and enjoying themselves. Although we can't make it to the service tomorrow, we send our deepest sympathies to the Anne's family and friends. - Posted by: Ana Gschwend (A swimmer in the MBSA's swim program) on: Oct 12, 2012

  • My deepest condolences to David, Becky and family. This is such a shock. Anne was such a fine co-worker at Library Service Centre, Winnipeg School Division from 1974-76 and later 1982-87. We appreciated her love of music and the arts, her strong work ethic, and her fine sense of humour. Anne and Richard loved you kids dearly. She spoke of you often. May you have many happy memories over the years ahead of the good times you had together. Love and best wishes. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral; I have a commitment in Brandon at that time. - Posted by: Gerald R. Brown (Co-worker at Winnipeg School Division) on: Oct 09, 2012
