Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ELIZABETH KASPICK (nee MCINTOSH) On Thursday, October 4, 2012, after a lengthy illness, Helen Elizabeth Kaspick passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Left to cherish Helen's memory are son Brian and Wendy Kaspick of Airdrie, AB; grandsons Kirby and Kurtis; daughter Jocelyn Kaspick and partner Kerry Kennedy of Winnipeg; son Glen and Sally Kaspick; grandson Kelly of Winnipeg; son Darren and Coby Kaspick; grandsons Richard and Michael of Winnipeg; sister Evelyn and Mike Osadchuk of Mission, BC.; and brother Donald McIntosh and Diane of Treherne, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Thomas Kaspick, March 21, 2009; sister Olive Smithson; brother- in-law Ted Smithson; brother Cameron McIntosh and sister-in-law Jean McIntosh. Helen was born October 8, 1936 at the nursing station in Arden, Manitoba, and grew up in Bernie, Manitoba. As a child, mom caught polio during the polio epidemic in Manitoba. With the help of Shriner's Hospital, she endured countless operations, and survived this terrible disease. Mom attended Daniel McIntire High School, and got a job at Eaton's as a telephone operator. Mom met Victor Kaspick in the spring of 1956, and later they got married on September 21, 1957. When the children were old enough, mom returned to work at Misericordia Hospital. Working there for over 20 years, mom retired in 1997, at age 60. The pain and suffering mom has endured as a child, and over the last few years is over now. She has gone to a better place, at peace with herself and her maker. In compliance with Helen's wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. Interment will take place at a later date where she will be laid to rest with Victor, in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, MB. The family would like to thank the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for all their support during these trying times. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or a charity of one's choice. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
