BONNIE LYNN BLUNDELL February 22, 1948 October 7, 2012 Bonnie died peacefully on Sunday, October 7 from cancer. Her family was by her side for the many hours until she finally let go. She was never alone. Bonnie is survived by her husband Tom, her children, Jason and wife Candace, Ryan and wife Chantal, and daughter Karen; grandchildren Dane, Avery, Keian, and Joran; sister Corinne and brother Mike. She is predeceased by her parents and Tom's parents. Bonnie was born in Kirkland Lake, ON and called Ontario home until two years ago. She always demonstrated a love for family and dedicated years to looking after her mom when she needed to. Bonnie and Tom married August 14, 1971, celebrating 41 years together. They lived in Coppercliff, ON and eventually moved to North Bay, ON where they moved into Tom's family home. Bonnie loved being at home raising her kids Jason, Ryan, and Karen. She worked outside the home for a few years but eventually settled into her role at home, putting her family first. Bonnie supported her kids' interests and could be seen watching whatever event her kids were involved in basketball, football, plays, and concerts. Bonnie often preferred to stay home but when she went out she always made friends. Bonnie was a kind person who could make small talk with anyone. Besides her family, Bonnie loved her dogs, better known as the girls. They were always by her side. Bonnie also found joy in flowers, gardening, and reading. Bonnie had a big heart and always wanted to do the right thing. Bonnie and Tom made the decision to move to Winnipeg in the summer of 2010. They would now be close to two of their children and two of their grandchildren, as well as Tom's brother Neil and wife Shirley. Bonnie loved being with her family and especially treasured time with Dane and Avery. Hearing them call her Nana made her day. She loved reading with them, singing to them and telling them stories. Although her time in Winnipeg was short and full of unexpected challenges, it was a special time that we are grateful for. Bonnie was blessed to have such great support, especially from her sister-in-law Shirley who was always there to listen, to help and be a friend, right until the end. Thank you also to the staff at Women's Hospital for their care and compassion. Her family is saddened that she did not have more time with them. Bonnie will always be in our hearts. We will be looking for you in the stars, Nana. Memorial to be held on Saturday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m., Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent, OakBank . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Seasons Funeral Chapel- Oakbank
