Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I only recently heard of Malinda's passing. Malinda was a positive influence in my teen years while they lived at Fairholme. Ed and Malinda helped me in getting to camp and going to Bible school and arranging rides to see my grandmother in Langham. I am thankful that she was such a positive influence in my life. - Posted by: Adeline Krause (friend from Fairholme days) on: Jan 09, 2013

  • Melinda and Ed were always so kind and helpful at the DIRKS Reunions in Saskatchewan. I remember when they stopped to visit us when we lived in Kamloops some years ago and the walks along River Park. Such wonderful people and I am happy to have known them. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Robert Dirks (Cousin) on: Oct 31, 2012

  • Aunt Malinda and Uncle Ed were like parents to us and extra grandparents to our girls during the years we lived in Winnipeg and we are so sad to hear of her passing. We know she is experiencing a happy reunion will all her loved ones who have gone to heaven before her. Our love and prayers are with all the family! - Posted by: Brian and Janet Friesen & Family (Nephew and Family) on: Oct 14, 2012

  • I so loved Aunt Malinda - although we lived so very far away, she was always interested in my life, and my children. I remember accidentally walking into a room where she was praying - sitting on the bed with her hands folded - and talking out loud to the Lord. I was so impressed - and embarassed that I had interrupted her conversation. - Posted by: Janice DeKlavon (Niece) on: Oct 13, 2012

  • I only knew Malinda for five months following my move into Bridgepark Manor but she impressed me with her upbeat personality and generally positive attitude. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the members of her family. She'll be missed by the residents of Bridgepark Manor. - Posted by: Doreen Bullen (Friend) on: Oct 13, 2012
