Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAREN SCHMULAND (nee BERRY) November 29, 1943 - October 9, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her children, John Jr., Heather (Doug) Sinclair, Deenna (Adrian) Brown, precious grandchildren, Sydney Sinclair and Evan Brown, mother Alison Berry, sister Bev (Dave) Fenn, numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her loving husband John and her father Fred. Mom was born in Winnipeg and lived most of her life in the West Kildonan area where she raised her family. Mom was employed at Manitoba Medical, Kraus Industries and Hi-Tech Sales until her retirement. She enjoyed her retirement caring for her grandchildren who were her pride and joy and the highlight of her life. Mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. She was our cheerleader who was always ready with a cup of tea, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen and always willing to offer advice anytime she felt it was needed. Mom loved to curl, attend Bomber and Jet games, chatting with her neighbours and spending time with her family and friends at the cottage in Patricia Beach. Special thanks to the staff of the 5th floor at Women's Hospital for their compassion and friendship they gave our Mom during her time there. A Celebration of Karen's life will take place on Sunday, October 14, 1:30 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. MOM Remember I Love You A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck You will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts 204-586-8044
