Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA PHYLLIS LAMOTHE (nee STRECKER) March 28, 1937 October 8, 2012 Patricia Lamothe passed away peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Concordia Hospital. She was surrounded by her family during her brief illness. She will be dearly missed by her husband Jerome (Jerry) and their two sons and families: Jeffrey, Jillian, Thomas and Zachary; and Gregory, Julie, Jacob and Annika. The only daughter of Phyllis (Wilkinson) and Godfrey Strecker, Pat grew up in Elmwood and graduated from Lord Selkirk High School in 1955. Following graduation she trained as a Radiology Technician and worked as a technician until becoming a mother. She and Jerry were married May 20, 1961 and settled into their home on Neil Avenue in East Kildonan to raise a family. Summers were spent at the lake - Lake Winnipeg, first at Willow Island, then Spruce Sands and ultimately at the cabin at Valhalla Beach. In 1997 Pat and Jerry moved from Neil Avenue to Henderson Highway in East St. Paul and enjoyed retirement surrounded by nature and the beauty of the river outside their windows. Pat and Jerry took immeasurable pride in their homes and dedicated themselves to keeping them immaculate. They also enjoyed a number of trips during retirement to a wide range of destinations in Europe and the United States. They remained an inseparable team throughout their 51 years of marriage. Pat's greatest joy was her family. She and Jerry were both fiercely committed to their boys. She showed it in many ways she managed their childhood sports teams, carefully documented every milestone through to adulthood in their baby books , with Jerry took them on driving trips to both coasts to show them Canada, ensured they were always well nourished with their favourite foods, encouraged their success through school and university and career, taught them the value of a dollar, and provided sound advice and counsel when any of life's tough questions arose. In later years she welcomed her grandchildren with equal pride and loved watching their sporting activities, attending Grandparents' Day at school, cooking and baking for them, and spending time at the lake together. She remained close to her friends from high school and had spent a lovely day with them at Victoria Beach only one day before her sudden illness. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care over the past days. The family will hold a private event to mark her passing. Flowers are gratefully declined. Should you wish, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com

Hello Lamothe Family, You probably don't remember me but I used to live next to GUG on Hespeler. My Mom is Betty, my Dad is Alex, my name is Tracy and my brother is Micheal. I wanted to tell you how sorry I was to read about Pat. I remember meeting her when I was a little girl. I have a photo of Gug and Pat in the back yard on Hespeler. I also remember meeting both of you boys and Dad. It was a long time ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Tracy Bondarchuk - Posted by: Tracy Bondarchuk (acquaintance) on: Oct 24, 2012
