VIOLET SOFFIA GUDBJORG GUDMUNDSON Peacefully, with family by her side, on the evening of Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by her infant sister Sylvia, her parents Ragnar and Rannvieg Gudmunson her brother Marvin, her brother-in-law Bjossi Jonasson as well as her nephew Glenn Jonasson. Violet was born on July 21, 1939. Raised on the family farm in Vidir, Manitoba, Violet grew up with a genuine appreciation of life and its offerings. She raised three wonderful children, Donna, Benita and Keith. These children provided nine grandchildren that were dearly loved by Violet including Richard, the pallbearer to her final resting place in the Vidir Cemetery. Violet had a love of many things with much sincere passion for curling, crosswords and coffee time chat. This note would not be complete without mentioning Ms. Pacman, an old-time favourite mentioned regularly in sessions of reminiscing. A sincere thank you to Karen Dziad and the staff at the Personal Care Home. Also a special thank you to Maureen Sigurgeirson and the staff at the Assisted Living Facility as well as all the staff at the A D Health Centre. She will be missed by all. Goda Nott and God Bless.
