JACOB (JAKE) HEINRICHS Jake went to be with the Lord peacefully, on Friday, October 12, 2012, in his home and surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley; children, Bert (Pam), Dennis, Debbie (Todd), Debbie (John), Yolanda (Kevin), and Sheldon; grandchildren, Lauren (Matt), Heather, David (Donnell), Suzi (Cory), Bradley, BJ (Ivana), Nick (Amy), Cody, Amanda (Craig), and Nicole (Ken); great-grandchildren Rebecca, Trenton, Colsen, Reese, and Sophie; brothers, Peter (Verna) and Ray; sister, Dora (Darryl); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Jacob; mother, Anna; sisters Kay Loewen and Ann Janzen. Jake enjoyed family gatherings with all the family, both in Manitoba and out west. He was immensely proud of all his grandchildren and loved to make them laugh with his corny jokes. He had a 45 year accident-free career as a long distance truck driver and was scheduled to drive again this summer before becoming ill. In compliance with Jake's wishes there will be no formal Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake's name to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160 - 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
