Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOSCAR NOHR KJEAR Peacefully on October 15, 2012 at Stonewall Hospital our beloved husband and father Oscar Nohr Kjear, aged 79, passed away with family at his side. He leaves to mourn Aileen, his wife of 53 years, his daughter Katherine, son-in-law Charles Payne, grandson Tyler and numerous extended family members. Oscar was predeceased by his two sons David (1974) and Bruce (2006), his mother Maria, father Holger, brothers Hans, Carl and Svend. Dad loved hunting, fishing and working with animals. He was a member of the Stony Mountain Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Khartum Temple, Oriental Band and the Order of the Eastern Star. He spent most of his life farming and later working at Rockwood Institution. Family and friends were always a very important part of his life. As a family, we would like to take the opportunity to thank Dr. Penniger and the nursing staff at Stonewall Hospital for everything they did for him. We would also like to thank all his homecare workers who assisted him over the years. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Khartum Shrime Patient Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3P 1B9 or the Stonewall and District Health Centre.
