Dear Bernie and Sam: I was very shocked to hear of Bernice's passing, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Bernice could always make you laugh or smile. I have very good memories of our families together in the younger years at West Hawk, the legion snowmobiling. Even though Bernice is gone, it's like I can hear her and Eddy laughing and singing. Talk care. Sheila and Jack Di Santo - Posted by: Sheila and Jack Di Santo(neeWachal)family friends (Family friend) on: Nov 20, 2012

My condolences to you both Sam and Bernie. Bernice is at the centre of most of my WestHawk memories. My borscht is copied from my memories of her special August soups. - Posted by: Colleen (McLachlan) Fraser (family friend) on: Oct 28, 2012

Uncle Bunny and cousin Sam, my deepest condolences on the death of Bernice. I would have definitely been at the service however I was with my niece Shaughna (my sister Mary's eldest daughter) at St. Bonficate hospital for her sugery to remove a tumour from her kidney. I hopoe that the two of you are keeping well and I hope to be able to see you some time; it's been too long as it is with many families; everone grows older and is dealing with their own families and the wider family drifts apart. Keep well and be strong. Marion - Posted by: Marion Groce (nee Sexton) (niece) on: Oct 23, 2012

Bernie and Sam, It is very difficult for me to send my condolences this way as I would rather be there to express them in person, however my personal health issues will keep me away. Bernice and I had such a long and close friendship that I feel a piece of my life has also departed. Even though we have been far apart for a number of years every time we connected whether in person, by letter or phone it felt like we had never been apart. I know both of you will miss her very much, as I will but with the illness the way it was, it is a blessing that she passed as quickly as she did. Ed and I extend our deepest sympathy and wish we were with you both at this time. Val - Posted by: Ed and Val Jamieson (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2012

So sorry for your lost. I have a picture of Mrs Sexton with Easter eggs in her eyes with her glasses on top. It makes me smile. It actually makes me laugh out load when it surfaces . That's what I will remember her for. Her ability to make people feel good. I know my mom will miss her dearly. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
