RAIMONDO MUSTO June 26, 1928 - October 21, 2012 Surrounded by his family, Raimondo (Raymond) Musto passed away at the Grace General Hospital on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the age of 84. Left to mourn him is his devoted wife of 63 years, Graziella (DiPalma), his children Dino (Cathy), Josie (Rick), Julio, Ricardo, Frank, Tony and Anna (Jason), 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was born in Serra Di Pratola, Italy on June 26, 1928. He married the love of his life Graziella, on March 13, 1949. They immigrated to Canada in 1960 and settled into their beloved home on Austin Street. He worked in several different industries before he joined CP Rail where he worked for 24 years until his retirement in 1992. Dad fought the good fight for a long time. He was incredibly strong and brave and we are so proud to call him Dad. Dad, we love you, we thank you and we wish you peace, and a place where the wine, ginger ale and music are in abundance. He was an inspiration to us, but above all, he was a loving husband and father and an adoring Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. Prayers will be held Friday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Parish, 3390 Portage Avenue (at Rouge Road). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. also at Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Parish with Father Gerald Langevin presiding. Interment will follow at the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Pallbearers will be Nick Giancola, Raymond, Dino, Chris and Julian Musto and Patrick Aguiar. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Hirschkorn and Jason Kroetsch. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

  • Thank-you Grandpa. Thank-you for loving us all, more than anyone could imagine. Thank-you for waiting at the window to make sure we got in ok. Thank-you for always making sure we had a drink (even if it was offering us wine when we were much much too young). Thank-you for always having an abundance of freezies and chocolate, and making sure we'd fill up on the bad before dinner, and when the abundance was low $5 for the corner store. Thank-you for always being the one with a crazy sense of humour at family dinners. Thank-you for always being so laid back and unjudgemental "why should you care?". Thank-you for always being so generous, and sharing whatever you could... from $20 a person at christmas, to finding 100 loonies in my purse after you won at the VLTS. Thank-you for always offering the remote... no matter how into your show, you always offered us cartoons (even when we were much too old). Thank-you for holding on as long as you did, to see me in my wedding dress. Thank-you for your endless love. Thank-you for being my Grandpa, and you will always be my superhero. TI AMO PER SEMPRE NONNO. Rest in paradise superman. Your Piccolina will love you forever. xoxoxoxox - Posted by: Angelina (Granddaughter) on: Oct 24, 2012
