Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • Terry and I shared some wonderful times. We traveled a lot of Manitoba highways and small towns together, and he introduced me to the Pas, Trappers' Festival and Stan and Garnet Rogers who were musical guests at that time. His industriousness and ambition to get ahead in life were a great inspiration, and I will always remember his great sense of humour and his loyalty to me as his friend. I thought of Terry often over the years, spoke with him too infrequently and only found this sad news when I decided to Google his name tonight. Rest in peace, Terry. - Posted by: Robert Way (Work colleague in the 1970s) on: May 06, 2014

  • I visited with Uncle Eric and Auntie Audrey in about 1977 and remember having great fun motoring round Winnipeg and The Pas with Terry in his pick up truck, he made a big impression on me and I have fond memories of happy days. Life passes so quickly, I never found the time to return to Manitoba. My condolences to Terry's family. - Posted by: Timothy Batchelar (distant cousin from UK) on: Jan 13, 2013

  • I am so very sorry to hear of Terry's passing. He was an awesome client to work with, and I so enjoyed starting my day with both of you! Pam, I know that life wasn't always easy, but you lived with such grace, and good humour. I have many good memories of Terry....too many to mention, but my favorites were the times he was trying to be sneaky to get something for you. He loved you so much! My most sincere condolences Pam! - Posted by: Wanda Hovey (Health care aide and friend) on: Nov 22, 2012

  • For a time Terry lived in my apartment building, and was a tenant as well as my accountant. I wasn't part of his Laverendrye coffee group, but I did enjoy his company, and like others have said, his hearty and infectious laugh. Over the years since he moved to Winnipeg, we drifted in different directions. I'll miss him. - Posted by: Norman Watkins (Friend) on: Nov 07, 2012

  • Oh Terry, oh Pam .... oh family ... There really are not words, so saddened for you and everyone that Terry knew ... his bright smile and truly infectious laugh. Was looking forward to seeing him in a few weeks ... it will not be the same without him. Really it will not, we will all be sad. Terry say hello to your parents, your brothers, and to anyone I might have known. Hope that part of your journey was joyful, quick, and brought you even more smiles, as you now can run with the best of them. Much love.
