ELAINE MARGARET FOSTER (DOLA)
Born: Mar 25, 1953
Date of Passing: Oct 27, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELAINE MARGARET FOSTER (nee DOLA) March 25, 1953 - October 27, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and baba at the Arborg Hospital with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Albert; children Shawna (Jeff) and Trent (Shawnee); grandchildren Riley, Hope, Austin and McKenzie; siblings Diane (Robert), Evelyn (Mike), June (Rob), Gail (John), Harvey (Colleen) and Sherie; brothers-in-law Harold (Alda), Ken (Linda) and Richard; stepmother Agnes; mother-in-law Addie; sister at heart Barb (Frank), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Dzydz; father Harry Dola; sister Val Dola; sister-in-law Trudy Foster; father-in-law Harold Foster and brother-in-law Clarence Bakulak. Elaine was born in Gimli in 1953. She grew up in Komarno until she was nine when her family moved to Arborg. On June 8, 1974 she married the love of her life. They soon moved to Thompson where they resided for a year before deciding to move back to start their family. Once both their children were in school she started working in the community. She served on several different committees and boards over the years. Everyone who knew her knew that she was a hard worker. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She was the most generous person who was always thinking about what she could do to help someone else. She always had a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She could often be seen watching them at whatever activity they were involved in. She loved to spend as much time as possible with them and spoil them the way she said she was supposed to. Even through all her battles, she knew how to live life to the fullest and never gave up. A special thank you to the staff at the Arborg Hospital for making her feel at home even though she wasn't. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Arborg Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Life led you to a steep mountain, my friend, and you had the courage and spirit to take on the climb. So many things you have said and done that have sweetened the lives of others, helped them grow and made them smile. You have left us with countless loving memories and you will be missed so much, but forever in our hearts and thoughts. (Baba) - Posted by: Agnes Dola (Stepmother ) on: Nov 02, 2012

I don't know where to start I have known you for as long as I can remember you always called be bro but when I was a little guy you could have been my sister or my mother as we grew older and got closer in age I then realized that you and Barb were always together so you must be a sister. When Trent texted me and said you passed my heart sank and it is still sunk I think God has taken the most wonderful person wife mother baba and friend because he needed you. I'm so happy that Chris and I came to visit you last week and got to have a couple last laughs you seemed so strong and you were to the end I will miss you forever SIS Love Ya till we meet again Roger - Posted by: Roger Abuda () on: Nov 01, 2012

Elaine will be sadly missed and remembered by many. She always made you feel comfortable and cared more for you than herself. I will miss her warm smile and laughter. My thoughts and prayers go out to Albert, Shawna, Trent and their families. - Posted by: Vic Hiebert (Friend) on: Oct 31, 2012

Elaine will be sadly missed. I will always remember her laugh at family gatherings, and that she could liven up any room. Even though her life was cut short, she got more out of her life than many who pass at a much older age... - Posted by: Roger Foster (Nephew) on: Oct 31, 2012
