Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE WASNIE October 29, 1930 October 30, 2012 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Alice Wasnie on the morning of Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Anna Wasnie, brother-in-law Peter Martens and stepfather John Emslie Robertson. Alice was born in Selkirk, MB on October 29, 1930. She attended Mapleton School and Junior High in Selkirk. She worked at Eaton's Mail Order on Donald St. for 25 years. She did much travelling, to England and many winters spent down south in the motorhome. She also loved her many trips to Fargo and Grand Forks. Alice was an avid knitter, supplying many afghans to shut-ins and keeping everyone warm with her toques, scarves and slippers. Her many needlework pictures grace the family walls. Alice is survived by her brother Bill Wasnie, sister Lillian Martens, cherished nephew Robert Martens and his family Jean, William and Steven. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In Alice's memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the wonderful care provided by the staff on the third floor at Grace Hospital and the Home Care workers. To a very special sister and aunt you will always be loved and remembered.
