  • I am unable to attend the services for Auntie Katie, but my thoughts and prayers are with the family. She was a very special person. Some of my best memories are from 40+ years ago when Auntie Katie, Auntie Mary Shoeski and I used to ride the big Grey Goose together from WPG. to Lac du Bonnet. • Aunt Katie was always had a special place in our hearts. She took care of us a few times when mom went to the hospital to have some of her children. She was always nervous at night because we lived way out in the country; because we didn't have locks on the door, I remember she would always put a big butcher knife between the door and the frame. I think now how funny that was because anyone could of just gave the door a little shove and it would of flew open. But in her mind it made us all safe. I also remember her letting me make my first batch of muffins all by myself. Only later finding out those yummy chewy things in the flour was mouse poop! Oh well, we ate it and thought they were the best. We will miss you Auntie Katie. - Posted by: Al, Lois and Kyla Yablonski (Niece) on: Nov 01, 2012
