DOREEN MARGUERITE PICKEN
Date of Passing: Oct 31, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN MARGUERITE PICKEN It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my mother, Doreen, on October 31, 2012. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Tracy (Stan), son James, and grandchildren Brody and Maddison whom she adored. She is also survived by her sisters June and Mary. Mom had a challenging personality that was tempered with a kind, giving heart that she reserved for those closest to her. There wasn't an animal, fish or plant that she wasn't willing to give a home to. A special thank you to Barb for those Saturday morning outings. She will be always in our hearts and forever missed. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to D'Arcy's A.R.C. at 730B Century St., Winnipeg, MB R3H 0M1. June and Mary, I was so sorry to read of Doreen's passing. I remember her well from Lord Roberts and Gordon Bell. You three sisters always enjoyed one another so much, and had such happy times. May you cherish the memories forever. - Posted by: Marnie Webb (Another kid from Walker Avenue) on: Nov 05, 2012

Tracy, I met your mother while in hospital in 2005. I had suffered a stroke. She was such a nice person. My husband and I used to visit her at her house. I still have one fish left that she gave to me. I don't know what happened but we lost track of one another. Please call me, my name is June Bell 204-256-1069. Thank you - Posted by: JUNE BELL (FRIEND) on: Nov 05, 2012

Doreen was a customer at my business for many years before health issues made it difficult for her to get out. She always spoke her mind and truly loved animals. I always enjoyed her feisty ways! I am sad I hadn't seed her in such a long time before she passed. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Sherrie Versluis (The Preferred Perch) (acquaintance/) on: Nov 03, 2012
