Freda was predeceased by her husband Roland in 1945, four sisters, brother and their spouses. A private service was held. Aunt Freda had a wonderful sense of humour. My late husband and Freda laughed a lot together because they shared a love for a good joke. Freda was devoted to her Church, Calvary Temple. One time, we attended Christmas services with her there. Because she was always a trooper, she managed to accompany us up to the balcony. I don't even think Aunt Freda realized her peripheral vision wasn't the best and she fell backwards into our arms. (Fortunately we were behind her!) She was safe in our arms that evening and we all laughed about it afterwards. She will be missed and remembered fondly. We know you've gone to a better place to be with your Lord & Saviour. You will be missed, Auntie Freda. I want to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the staff at Calvary Place Nursing Home. You went above and beyond for my aunt Freda even when the going was tough. Elvira, thank you so much for being a true friend to Freda. I will never forget your many kindnesses on her behalf. There must be a special place in heaven for people like you...people with a heart of gold who give so much compassion and understanding to someone so very ill.
