Bill was an inspiration and huge influence in my career and life. I was Bill's inside sales/quotation person at Wesco. When I got married in 1975 and was off on a honeymoon, Bill presented me with an envelope not to be opened till we got to our destination. Inside was a $100 bill! A lot of money in those days. We made a good team at Wesco for too short a time. - Posted by: Gerry Geall (Co worker) on: Dec 06, 2012

We hunted all over the southern part of the province and into Sask. for ducks, geese and chicken. We always ate in the field. We established kitchens in many secret places going back to them many times. We had a lot of good times together with our other two partners (Jeff & Bruce). Bill and I did a little fishing together and worked on many projects. Since the lake and hunting I've kept in touch with Bill mainly at the Legion on Wednesday noon. - Posted by: Ray Todd -hunting partner , lake neighbor , good friend () on: Dec 02, 2012

Mr Whitwell was like a grandfather to me. I always had a hug and a kiss for him even when I saw him in the hospital. He always made sure I got safely to and from the outhouse at West Hawk Lake when I was alone. My dog Indy could always be found on Mr and Mrs Whitwell's deck at their cabin when it was the cocktail hour. In these many years after West Hawk it was always great to run in to him at Polo Park, as Jason and I would stop and talk sometimes for over an hour and adjusting his glasses for him when he would come see me at work. You are missed Mr Whitwell! - Posted by: Sandra Blanchette (Friend) on: Nov 20, 2012

So sorry to hear of Mr. Whitwell's passing - my Dad, Jack Edge, and he had many enjoyable hours in the shop making banks and going on excursions to Rona and Home Depot. He was a wonderful friend to my Dad. - Posted by: Nancy Edge McKinnon () on: Nov 14, 2012
