IRENE MCBEATH (nee MILLER) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irene at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years Neil in 2005 and by her sister Betty. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Peter (Lorraine); daughter Mary (Ed); grandchildren Andrea, Dan (Priscilla), Jennifer (Kerry), Kenny (fiancée Amanda), Kristopher, Amanda (Bryan), Erica (fiancé Scott), Robbie, Brayden and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Zachary. Irene was born in Winnipeg in 1925 and lived her entire life here. She was a long time member of the St. James Kiwanis. She enjoyed spending many happy summers at her cottage at Belair and golfing with her husband Neil. She also enjoyed her many travels around the world including Australia, England, Bermuda and many cruises. She worked for many years at the legislative buildings as a secretary and enjoyed her work very much. She was an avid bowler for many years at Polo Park Lanes. She also enjoyed many years in her Friday Night Bridge Club. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and later bragging to her friends about them. Irene had much joy in later life spending time with her dog Cooper and proudly introduced him to her friends at Victoria Hospital and St. Norbert Personal Care Home. Thanks to the emergency staff and Chaplain Lynn Granke at Victoria Hospital, also to the caring staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St., with reception to follow. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 204 - 885-9715
