We said goodbye to you today and what I did not mention in my early words will be penned today. We spent many many weekends with you and Uncle growing up and when we became older you always had us over for our annual Xmas dinners and Boxing day treats. I cannot recall ONE TIME that we left your house without massive containers of goodies for Mom, Reagen and I. Today Reagen told me that you named her first born son Spencer and we all got flooded with happy, warm memories. From doll making with you, Reagen and I to movie and games nights with you both. Everything you did was so thoughtful. Every gift you made or gave, every ounce of baking and entertaining was a work of art! I am proud to have called you my Auntie and I know Reagen feels the same. Much love from ALL the Blix girls!! - Posted by: Morgan Blix (Niece) on: Nov 14, 2012

It is a funny thing how some people in your life leave such warm memories in your heart even if you only spent a short time with them. Janis was one of those people. Though out times together may have been short her warmth and happiness will always be a memory of mine. Rest in peace, I hope we meet again. - Posted by: Shawn, Ryan and Lachlan Brown (Cousins) on: Nov 14, 2012

Dearest Evalt, Auntie Anne, Garth, Heather and Family, Janis will forever remain in our hearts and we will remember her for the beautiful, fun-loving, compassionate, creative, intelligent woman that we admired and will always love. Evalt, the love and devotion you gave to Janis throughout your marriage is divine. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my precious cousin during her illness, you truly are a gem. I wish I could be there to hug you and tell you how grateful I am for all that you did for her. I have missed sharing e-mail communications with Janis these past 4 years. She truly was a Godsend to me when I was going through a very emotional and challenging life-changing time. I will always cherish the extension of compassion and love that she extended to me. Bruce and I are truly grateful that she was able to join in the celebration of our marriage in September 2008. Thank you for taking care of the pups so she could make the trip Evalt. Our hearts go out to all of you. We wish we could be there with you, but it isn’t possible. Please know we hold you all in our thoughts and prayers. May you be wrapped in a blanket of comfort, knowing that Janis is ‘home’ with her precious pets, whole and complete again. She’ll be there to welcome us home when we complete our journeys too, for that I am certain. - Posted by: Myrna, Bruce and Eva Brososky (Cousin) on: Nov 13, 2012

Evalt, Janis was your beautiful wife inside and out. She will be missed by so many people of family and friends. Janis was such a giving and generous person. We all are going to miss her smile and laughter. She was an inspiration to me, Janis had many talents in everything she would touch or do. She was creative, a great cook, a baker and designer. She could have opened her own bakery she loved her baking. Every Christmas she would spend hours doing her baking for other people and sent home with them an assortment of cookie treats. However, Janis was taken too early in life but she is no longer in pain or suffering… Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear Evalt, but I want you to know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. May God give you strengthen and comfort… "DEATH LEAVES A HEARTACHE NO ONE CAN HEAL, LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL" - Posted by: Theresa Schmidt (sister-in-law) on: Nov 13, 2012
