PETER KRAVETZ It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, dad and gigi, Peter Kravetz of Cooks Creek, Manitoba on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the age of 67 years. Peter will be forever loved and remembered by his beloved wife of 48 years, Connie, son Peter Jr. and wife Shawna Whyte-Kravetz, daughter Lisa and husband Kelly Whyte, his two precious granddaughters Hayley and Megan, and also his devoted canine companion Fergie! He will also be missed by his sisters Elsie, Patsy, Gloria, Theresa, Stephanie and their families. Peter was predeceased by his parents Steve and Ksenia, brothers Michael and Stephen, and sister Dolores and brother-in-law Wally. Peter was born on January 24, 1945 and lived his entire life in Cooks Creek. He worked for Versatile Farm Implements for 37 years as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 2000. Peter enjoyed his family and spent many years camping, settling in Pinawa and cruising on the pontoon. He was also an excellent wine maker, craftsman in building trailers and took great pride in his yard and garden, especially his tomatoes! A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cooks Creek with Father Taras Kowch presiding. Special thanks to the staff of Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals for taking such great care of Peter.   • I met Peter this past winter ice fishing with him Kelly and Peter Jr. I am So sad to hear about this. I will miss the visits with him and Kelly in the winter at Balsam Bay talking about fishing and listening to Peter's stories. He truly was a special person whose family meant the world to him.
