NORMAN HRYCYK On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Norman Hrycyk peacefully passed away with his family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Patricia (nee Marchinko) Hrycyk in 2003, and his twin granddaughters Tabetha Lee and Amber Dawn in 1987. Dad was born August 17, 1928, in the farming community of Canora, SK. Mom and Dad met and later married on June 8, 1952. In 1961, Mom and Dad bought their first home in Transcona where they raised their five children. Dad worked for J.I. Case Implements for 25 years, then started at the City of Winnipeg where he went on to retire in 1993. Dad was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who would do anything for any of us. Dad enjoyed gardening and watching his children and grandchildren partaking in sports. Dad and Mom often enjoyed family gatherings which included plenty of food, drinks and lots of love. Dad was a devoted Saskatchewan Rough Riders fan, always telling his grandsons who were Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans green is easy on the eyes . Dad leaves to mourn his five children Jan Golding (Robert, Nicole, Jamie), Charlene Lee (Brian and Kyle), Darlene Herd (Tony, Micheal and Christine, Nathan, Matthew and Bethany Gerardy), Ken Hrycyk (Brenda, Brooke, Kennedy and Holli) and Sharon Hrycyk (Dave, Hope and Haley Kwiatek) and all his four legged granddogs, Roxy, Lulu, Dahlia, Oliver, Sox, Max, Kiko, Peanut, Ben, Baxter, Zoey and Kohna. We love you Dad, we thank God to have been blessed with you. At Dad's request cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service. Thanks to all the health care professionals who cared for Dad. Dads close neighbours Kirk and Kevin for all their help, and the Desjarlais family for all their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of our Dad. Two Angels meet in the night, two Angels take flight Two Angels together again Amen! Arm and arm they kiss, they are in loves bliss They both will be sadly missed Two Angels take flight, off they go into the night Two Angels together again Amen!
