DORIS LAURA SHIPPER Peacefully, on Saturday, November 17, 2012, Doris Shipper passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Doris was born in Great Falls, MB, and lived her life with her lifelong companion, Bert, who she married in 1940. Doris enjoyed her employment at Galaxy Garments, where she retired at the age of 72. In her younger years, Doris was a member at the Elmwood Curling Club, and at Sam Steele Legion for her bowling league. She could also be found in a bingo hall for hours of enjoyment with her friends. Doris looked forward to spending time at their cottage at Beaver Creek on weekends and holidays. Recently, her time spent at Prime was a highlight of her week. Doris was predeceased by her husband Bert, son Gerald, sister Josie and brother Art. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, the phone will be so quiet. She is survived by her granddaughter Robyn (Zsolt), grandson Scott (Ruth), grandchildren Ava, Blaeze, Jalen, Kade and Gracie; daughter-in-law Arlene; sister Madeline, nieces and nephews. A special note of thanks to Marlene and the staff at Prime and the nursing staff on the 2nd floor of Deer Lodge for all their compassion.
