Mr. And Mrs. Hall were a huge part of my life growing up on Horace St. As kids we never knew their names we all called them Grandma and Grandpa! I remember playing with Laura and David climbing the big tree out front. My father from time to time over the years would run into Mr. Hall and chat about all the memories as neighbours. My deepest sympathy to your family I will hold dear to my heart how amazing your grandparents were to us. He will be sadly missed. So sorry to hear about the loss of your dad/grandpa/great-grandpa. I have many happy and funny memories of him in your home when we were young and later when we were "all growed up." Will see you on Thursday. - Posted by: Mary-Anne Wilbon (Family friend) on: Nov 25, 2012

Dear Family of John Hall; My name is Laurie Cable and my mother is Isabel Smith. Mom sat at your dad's dining table. I am just dropping this quick not to say how wonderful your dad was to my mom and to my family. We often caught up with Mom at the end of the lunch time meal when everyone was finishing up. John was always the gentleman and made my mother feel so welcome when she arrived in April. He was ever so gracious and was alway quick with a joke. He would tease my mom and have us all laughing so hard. Then he would get up and excuse himself and tell us to enjoy our visit and how lovely it was to see us again. We will sorrily miss his grand presences and may your memories of this great man comfort you in the difficult days ahead. - Posted by: Laurie Cable (daughter of a Deer Lodge resident) on: Nov 25, 2012

My memories of Uncle Jack are wonderful. He was a man that new how to laugh and have fun. I remember Christmas Eves, family get togethers and sleepovers at Ricki and his house and the great times we shared as a family. Ricki, Jack, my mom and dad. He was always kind and generous to me and I will always remember him to be a warm, kind and respectful person. - Posted by: Doreen Bilodeau (Niece) on: Nov 23, 2012
