KAY (KATIE) CHYZZY (nee GROCHOLSKI) January 9, 1932 November 19, 2012 Peacefully passed away, on November 19, 2012 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 80 years of Arborg with her family by her side. Kay was predeceased by her husband Sam, parents Walter and Adela Grocholski, sisters Nellie, Helen, Mary and brother Joe and special friend Nick. Survived by her sister Jean, sister-in-law Lois and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay grew up in Meleb, later moved in Winnipeg to work. After marrying Sam, they farmed in Vidir and then moved to Arborg where she worked at the Arborg Personal Care Home for a number of years. Kay enjoyed curling, bowling and gardening. She took great pride in her yard and home. In her later years she enjoyed the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle and enjoyed having friends and family come visit. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Minnie and Carol for always being there for Kay. Also thank you to all the health care professionals for their help and support in taking care of Kay this past month. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Prayers will be said on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Arborg. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Arborg, Interment to follow in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Arborg.
