Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • It will be hard to be in town and not see Norm around the house. He will be missed by all. He always had a good word to say about everyone even if we gave him a hard time when we were growing up. My condolences to all. Will be there to see you in the summer Helen. As always Bill Thomson - Posted by: Bill Thomson (Friend) on: Nov 27, 2012

  • You will ever find a more compassionate man in this lifetime than Norm. I had the great pleasure of being his neighbor for 16 glorious years. He looked out for my kids along with Helen, and for this I will be eternally grateful. So many times over these years whenever I had a problem with anything around my yard, Norm was always there to lend a hand. We had a bond with music also, but I will always regret that we never played together nearly enough. He saw my kids grow up into the fine adults that they are now, although I'm sure at times they thought, man those Vezina kids never go to sleep. I will truly miss you dearest Norm, Thank You Lord for letting me know him for these 16 wonderful years. Heaven has gained an Angel. Love You Norm - Posted by: Norm Vezina (Neighbor and Friend) on: Nov 23, 2012

  • Norm was always like an uncle to me. Memories of him always bring a smile to my face. His humour was infectious. I remember when my dad Lawrence quit drinking and we were all at some social function, Norm walked up to me and said "Before your dad joined the AA Sunrise Group, I was his sunrise. We laughed so hard, my dad was in stitches. He never had a harsh word about anyone or anything, a very happy, go lucky man. I'm so lucky to have grown up around Norm and Helen, we were family, no doubt about it. I remember many happy and funny moments with them. I feel so fortunate that we were able to spend some time with Norm in the beginning of September. He was in his prime, playing guitar, singing and of course making us all laugh with his stories. We all had so much fun. He brought joy with him all the time. He was so easy to talk to. So as you share your stories and memories of how he lived his life and how very much he meant, may you find comfort... And, throughout this difficult time, may you know we are so sorry, also know the deepest sympathy and concern that we have for you, Helen and your wonderful family. Sometimes things happen that seem too difficult to face. But hearts do mend and time can be a healer to help soothe the pain. Heaven has welcomed a Very Special person and we will all miss Norm dearly..Sending you all Great Big Bear Hugs and All of our Love, Patsy and Philip p.s. if you need anything please do not hesitate to call and ask.. - Posted by: Patsy (Berthelette) Johnston (felt like a niece) on: Nov 22, 2012
