Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHAN (STEVE) CHUCKRY January 6, 1938 - November 20, 2012 With some of his family beside him, Stephan (Steve) Chuckry was peacefully and gently taken by our Lord Jesus at the Health Sciences Centre to join his parents, grandparents and many others of his family. Steve was born to his parents John and Tena on Christmas Eve, January 6, 1938 at Rembrandt. He was the middle child of a happy family of nine children all of whom remain to appreciate his life with them. He was attracted to his special Rose in love and he and Rose Lubinski were married on May 25, 1968. Rose remains now to cherish their life together. They set up their dairy farming working together for many years in this venture. Enjoying the hard work necessary and doing this from their common farm background in working with animals giving them good attention and care. Before farming and also after selling off their dairy farm venture, Steve worked in numerous kinds of labour employment in this area from roadwork to construction to turkey farm work and whatever was available. His work ethic was that everything that he did had to be done well and he was proud of this quality of work. He enjoyed working with so many good people in all these areas. Most recently Steve and Rose provided fuel wood for many customers with this same quality of care. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel (Arborg). Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church in Arborg at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow in Rembrandt St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery by the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. Steve's nephews will be pallbearers. To Steve's memory in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rembrandt.
