ELSIE SLAVUTA Peacefully on November 29, 2012, Elsie Slavuta (Hnydka) was called to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Elsie was predeceased by her husband John, her parents Marko and Anna Hnydka, and her sisters Pearl Wiederman and Tina McDonald. Left to mourn her passing are sister-in-law Stella Monaster, sister-in-law Helen Slavuta, brother-in-law Donald Slavuta and many nieces, nephews and friends. Thank you to Dr. L.C. Bartlett for his many years of care and concern. Thank you to the staff and Home Care at Sturgeon Creek Residence II for their care and understanding. Thank you to all the staff at Heritage Lodge PCH for making Elsie's last months a joy and for your compassionate care of Elsie in the last difficult days. The funeral service will be held on December 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with interment following the service.
