JOSEPH FRANKLIN March 21, 1926 - December 3, 2012 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father and grandfather, Joe, on December 3, 2012. Dad was predeceased by our mother Annette, his infant daughter Elaine, his parents, and his three brothers plus numerous other family members and friends. He is survived and greatly missed by us, his children, Robert (Sherry), Sharon, Wayne and Susan. He was loved, and will never be forgotten by his grandchildren Bobby, Amanda, Meghan, Melyssa, Jesse, Samantha, Ethan (his bingo bud) and Rebecca. Dad also had a special place in his step-grandchildren's hearts, Troy, Kyle and Carena, and great-granddaughter Sierra. Dad is also leaving behind two sisters, Margaret and Marion and numerous nieces and nephews. After years of Thursday night bingo at St. Alphonsus, dad leaves behind many friends and acquaintances that he and Ethan know. Dad spent his youth living in Stoney Mountain; he moved to Winnipeg and joined the army. Upon return, he met mom through his sister Marion. They lived and raised us in Elmwood. Dad worked at Building Products Ltd. for 43 years. When the company was sold he retired and moved on to CPR for eight years. The family would like to thank Dr. Ilnyckyj and Dr. Kroeker for helping dad live a good quality of life for these past five years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's name to St. Alphonsus Church. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
