JEAN CARRIERE (nee PAUL) January 26, 1920 December 4, 2012 On Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Jean Carriere passed away at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Edward of 69 years in 2010 and her daughter Linda in 1985. She is survived by her son Donald (Joan), grandson Clayton (Sandy), and brother Andrew (Julie). Jean lived her entire life in Winnipeg and worked in catering but her passion was square dancing. Jean had many talents including; sewing, the gift of gab, playing cards and entertaining. Jean and Ed went on many wonderful trips during their retirement years to destinations like Alaska, Eastern Canada, the Panama Canal and Europe. Special thanks to Dr. Willems, Gela and staff at Klinic on Portage, Thorvaldson Care Centre and longtime friends Vi Marsh and Doreen and Dennis Gowler for their care and friendship. In compliance with Jean's wishes there will be no service. Afterglow I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one I'd like to leave an afterglow Of smiles when life is done I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways Of happy times and laughing times And bright and sunny days I'd like the tears of those who grieve To dry before the sun Of happy memories That I leave when life is done THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway, Winnipeg 783-7211 Send expressions of sympathy at www.thomsonfuneralchapel.com
